LINDA WONG

I don't remember when exactly I met Linda, but I began to know her well sometime in grade 3-4. We used to visit each other's homes every Sunday and chat, play games, and draw. We drew a lot, but it was mostly referenced work that started with various animations such as Fatal Fury, Sailor Moon and The Lion King. We were good friends until she moved to Brisbane when I started grade 7. I haven't seen her in person since, but we still keep in contact via email, instant messaging and by phone.

While I drew less since we parted ways (my parents were fairly unsupportive of my interest in art as they believed it wouldn't be enough to place food on the table and thus I should place my efforts elsewhere), Linda continued to draw and develop her skills. As the years went by I saw her skills improve more and more in conventional art and then saw her take up digital art. It's quite amazing to see someone's skill develop over the years and sometimes it leaves me with a twinge of regret that I didn't also continue developing my skills. The local artist friend still believes I have talent, but I believe that it's erratic and unreliable at best.

During a conversation in 2002, Linda offered to draw a portrait of me. As you can see, I took her up on her offer.

Formal Dress Design

Formal Dress Design (??/??/2003)

I wanted something different for my Grade 12 formal and asked both Aya and Linda to design me a formal dress after their own fashion. Although I liked both designs, I decided on Aya's as Linda's would have been too difficult to obtain the materials as well as there being something indescribable that really appealed to me.

Gamingforce: The RPG - Sword Serenity

Gamingforce: The RPG - Sword Serenity (??/??/2003)

During my first year at Gamingforce, Wild Violence brought to my attention that he and some others including falkon2 were designing a game called "Gamingforce: The RPG". I first became aware of it when Dyhalto, ReclusiveWriter and myself were added into the game as some trio of royal guards.

Linda also found out about it around the same time and drew some character designs. Soon after the forum had some financial issues and had to start from scratch, with Gamingforce: The RPG being forgotten. Up until that point Linda had also completed Dyhalto's character design.

Legend of Dragoon - Rose 1

Legend of Dragoon - Rose 1 (??/??/2004)

Of all the Rose artworks I've been requesting -- I request Rose and Millenia (from Grandia II) the most due to the difficulty in finding good fanarts -- this is by far my favourite. ReclusiveWriter found a very rough sketch from somewhere and Linda coloured it spectacularly.

Another coloured lineart, though the original artwork isn't as well drawn as the first Rose image. Still nice as it's Rose in her dragoon form.

Gal Rose Group - Digitally Coloured (??/??/2004)

As my favourite two artist friends were Aya and Linda, I was ecstatic when they began talking to each other and decided to do a collaboration. Aya drew the artwork and Linda coloured it digitally. In addition, Aya coloured the hardcopy with pencils and markers as well.
